Enrollment

When it is time to enroll, we tailor our services to fit your specific needs.

One-to-One

BeneChoice's traditional one-to-one enrollments offer the most employee engagement and best opportunity for decision-making support. To help educate and counsel employees on their benefit needs, we go to the worksite and spend one-to-one time meeting with each employee and enrolling them.

If we make any updates or changes, we will make them in a confidential manner. The employer gets up-to-date information on all employees. This reduces HR errors in sending incorrect documents such as COBRA notices, W-2s and 1095s.

Co-browsing

We also offer the option of co-browsing. It’s the same as a one-to-one enrollment session but conducted while co-browsing online, giving the employee the advantage of viewing the benefits counselor's screen, while talking with a BeneChoice benefits counselor on the phone. Both the benefits counselor and employee log in to our online enrollment system. The employee has all the advantages of a one-to-one session but it’s simply over the phone.

Group Enrollment

We also offer the option of paper enrollments in a group meeting format. Employees can sign up for specific product offerings using personalized pre-printed enrollment forms during a standard group meeting or simple paper enrollment process.

Call Center

The call center option is for accounts to ensure that employees who can't physically meet with one of our counselors can still enroll in their benefits. Accounts can rest assured that the people enrolling their employees over the phone are professional counselors who are experienced in conducting both core and ancillary benefits enrollments.

Self Enroll

Not making changes? Employees can have the choice to ‘self-enroll’ rather than speak with a benefits counselor.

Products

We offer a broad range of benefit options so employees can get the financial protection they need.

Accident

Accidents happen. Are employees prepared? Accident insurance provides benefits to help offset out-of-pocket medical expenses such as deductibles, coinsurance and copays. Most plans are designed to pay cash indemnity benefits directly to the policyholder based on specific injuries. So they can use their benefit to help take care of unexpected expenses.

Cancer

Focus on the care, not the cost. As serious as the threat of cancer may be, new and improved treatments are being introduced daily – but with high technology comes high costs. Cancer insurance is designed to help policyholders deal with the financial problems that are often associated with cancer detection and treatment. Plans pay cash indemnity benefits directly to the policyholder so they can use these funds to help with the direct medical expenses and to help with many of the non-medical costs related to cancer diagnosis and treatment.

Critical Illness

Did you know that half of all bankruptcies are due to critical illnesses? Critical Illness insurance helps policyholders deal with the financial gap often incurred when faced with a critical illness. There are many plan design options available to choose from. Some pay lump-sum benefits. Others pay indemnity benefits based upon treatment received.

Dental

Brushing and flossing are easy ways to protect smiles, but they are not always enough on their own. Unfortunately, a trip to the dentist’s office can be costly. Dental insurance provides policyholders with financial protection – especially for procedures such as crowns, root canals and oral surgery.

Disability

One of the most valuable assets we have today is our ability to earn an income. Sadly, most Americans are just one pay-check away from financial difficulty. Disability insurance replaces a portion of income if unable to work for a few weeks, months or indefinitely due to an injury, illness or even a routine maternity leave.

Discount Programs

Looking for a bargain but not sure where to begin? Providing your employees with resources to save on everyday expenses such as movie tickets, local restaurants and many other items not only enhances your overall benefits package, but helps employees stretch their hard earned dollar.

Employee Assistance Programs

With the day-to-day challenges a lot of Americans face, keeping a positive state of mind can be difficult. EAP programs provide personal and confidential assistance to help support employees facing personal, work and end-of-life issues.

Financial Wellness & Education

No matter how well employees may be taken care of at work, many face considerable financial stress – and they can bring these problems to work. These distractions can impact employees’ productivity and your bottom line. Providing financial wellness & education tools to employees can help relieve them of some of their financial distractions and let them get back to concentrating on their work.

Medical Gap or Indemnity Plans

As deductibles, copays, coinsurance and prescription costs continue to rise, medical debt is now the single largest cause of consumer bankruptcy. Providing employees with a soft landing when faced with these higher costs can help alleviate some of their financial distress when faced with a hospitalization, outpatient surgery, or expensive diagnostic procedures.

Life Insurance

Employees count on their employer for most of their benefits, including life insurance. Offering both cash value and term life insurance options can help with financial protection regardless of the stage of life – getting married, having children, planning for retirement. Cash value plans provide stable components such as coverage amount, premium, and cash value accumulation. Term plans offer higher coverage amounts at lower premiums for life stages where coverage needs are greater.

Long-term Care

Being financially ready for the possibility of requiring long-term care is an important part of retirement planning. Long-term care insurance provides benefits to help with out-of-pocket expenses that come with home care, assisted living and nursing homes.

Identity Theft

Identity theft affects millions of Americans each year. Victims spend an exorbitant amount of time and money dealing with the resulting fallout. Often that time is spent while at work.

Identity theft protection provides employees with professional services to help them monitor, protect and – if necessary – restore their identify in the unfortunate event of an identity compromise.

Legal Services

Employees regularly encounter legal situations and issues that they don’t know how to handle or who to turn to for professional legal advice. Providing employees access to affordable legal services can help them with everyday issues such as buying a car, signing a lease, or preparing a trust or will. Legal services can also be helpful in the case of child custody issues, divorce and IRS audits.

Pet Insurance

Pet insurance is fast becoming one of the most requested benefits at work. When an employee’s four-legged family member is sick or injured they want to pursue the best care possible. Pet insurance provides employees with peace of mind that they are able to provide their pets with excellent care without worrying about how to pay for the unexpected veterinary expenses.

Vision

Eye health care examinations are often overlooked – especially by those who do not require prescription assistance, but vision health is more important than people realize. Serious medical conditions can also be found during a routine eye examination – such as diabetes, glaucoma, high cholesterol and high blood pressure.

Wellness

Wellness programs have become an effective resource to help with rising health care costs, but only if employee engagement is achieved. We can help structure programs and assist in driving participation through awareness and provide a confirmation of employees’ acknowledgment so employers can measure the impact of their programs and communications.

Compliance

With DOL audits and employee complaints on the rise, it is more important than ever to ensure your benefits programs and processes meet all compliance and deadline requirements.

Failure to comply with many of today’s requirements can mean costly government penalties, personal liability for managers, and potential employee lawsuits.

ACA

Many employers need help to make sure they are in compliance. There are several ways to calculate ACA eligible employees and forms that need to be filed with the government and provided to employees. The penalties to employers can be very costly. We have the tools to put your mind at ease.

COBRA

Employers with 20 or more employees and offer health insurance, are subject to COBRA laws. They are required to offer COBRA to employee and their dependents if they enrolled in medical, dental, vision. Employers who are not in compliant to these COBRA laws can accumulate high penalties. We can help with all the requirements

ERISA

Most employers do not fully understand ERISA, and how it impacts business and employees. Employers not compliant with ERISA laws can accumulate costly penalties and employee lawsuits. We can help with all the ERISA documents that employers need to be in compliant.

FMLA

There are stringent guidelines regarding FMLA – and big penalties for not following them. We have resources to help you make sense of what the rules and guidelines are and to assist you in being compliant.

FSA

Flexible Spending Account is a tax-favored program offered by employer that allows their employees to pay for eligible out-of-pocket health care and dependent care expense with pre-tax dollars. This can be somewhat complex for employers to administer a flex plan. We are able to take that burden away from the employer.

POP

When is the last time you updated your Premium Only Plan document? With all of the changes over the past 10 years it is estimated that over 50% of POP documents are no longer compliant. We are able to help with updating documentation.

Education

1

The Situation

The more employees understand their benefits, the more they appreciate them. Even though employers are offering more benefits than ever, employees don’t understand those benefits and are unable to appreciate the value of their benefits package.*
2

The Solution

The good news? BeneChoice benefits education sharpens employees’ understanding and appreciation of the value of their employer-provided benefits. As counselors for your client's employee benefits needs, we go to the work site and spend one-to-one time with each employee to provide simple, straightforward advice about the benefits they have — and those they need to fit their individual lifestyles and budgets.
3

How it's done

Our thorough benefits communication vehicles – e-mails, posters, payroll stuffers, Benefits Statements that show the employee's contribution and the employer's – help their employees understand their benefits and appreciate the contributions they make for them. Best of all, we handle the enrollment communication and enrollment details for you – before, during and after the enrollment.
